Norman A. Stokes, M.D.

Dr. Stokes is an associate with the Radiology Associates of South Florida and works as an attending radiologist at Baptist Hospital, South Miami Hospital, Homestead Hospital, and Baptist Outpatient Centers. He has also worked at Parkway Regional Medical Center East and North Miami Medical Center as an attending radiologist, where he was chairman of the radiology department. As an instructor and professor, Dr. Stokes has worked with Downstate Medical Center, the University of Miami School of Medicine, and Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Stokes has frequently published on a number of topics such as neonatal glioblastoma multiforme, orbital puncture wounds, cerebral subdural hematoma and ruptured aneurysm, and angiography of intracranial masses in the CT era. He has also made presentations on subjects such as the value of computed tomographic metrizamide myelography, new methods in the diagnosis and evaluation of the tethered conus syndrome in the adult, and approaches to cervical myelography with metrizamide.

Dr. Stokes received an undergraduate degree from Cornell University before attending S.U.N.Y. Downstate Medical Center and receiving an M.D. He was an intern at Maimonides Medical Center before completing a residency in diagnostic radiology at S.U.N.Y. Downstate Medical Center. He also completed a fellowship in neuroradiology at Downstate Medical Center .
