Karen R. Levy, M.D.

A dedicated mammographer, Dr. Levy sees patients at South Miami Hospital and the Baptist Outpatient Centers as an associate with Radiology Associates of South Florida. Previously, Dr. Levy was the clinical director of the Cape Canaveral Hospital Women’s Diagnostic Center and an assistant professor of radiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.

 

Dr. Levy has published a scientific paper on the use of mammography to detect male breast disease and has presented and lectured on various topics related to mammography and ductography.

 

Dr. Levy holds a bachelor’s of science degree in microbiology from the American University in Washington, D.C., and an M.D. from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed internal medicine internships at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey, and at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania. She served her residency in diagnostic radiology at Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and her fellowship in breast imaging in Peoria, Illinois, at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, the Susan G. Komen Breast Center, and St. Francis Medical Center.
