Ricardo Calderia Cury, M.D.

Dr. Cury is a cardiovascular imaging specialist focusing on cardiac CT and MRI. He practices at facilities served by Radiology Associates of South Florida throughout the Miami area. Previously, Dr. Cury was director of teleradiology and education for the Cardiovascular CT Core Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital. He also taught as an assistant professor of radiology at Harvard Medical School in Boston.

Dr. Cury has been a named author of more than thirty published scientific papers. He received the Young Investigators Award in 2002 from the North American Society of Cardiac Imaging for his paper on MRI’s use in assessing myocardial perfusion in patients suspected of having coronary artery disease. Dr. Cury is currently an associate editor for the Journal of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and a reviewer for several other medical journals.

He earned his medical degree from Santos School of Medical Sciences, Centro, at the Universitario Lusiada, Santos, in his native São Paulo, Brazil. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at MedImagem-Beneficência Portuguesa Hospital in São Paulo and a clinical/research fellowship in the Cardiac MR and CT program at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
